If it seems I have been neglecting the blog, it is definitely so.
What I have I been neglecting it with?
Well LIFE in general, but more specifically I have been neglecting it because life has been really busy lately. Not just because of the obvious--I have TWO kids, but because of my new "job" as of late. No, I did not start a new career besides being a very thankful homemaker. I just added a new ministry.
I have taken over (temporarily) the children's ministry at The Door Church. I was hesitant at first when God directed Scott to plant the Door to offer my teaching abilities to the Children's ministry for several reasons: I didn't want it to interfere with my time with my children, I wanted other people to share in the leadership, and because I wasn't sure if I was adequate for the job. After all I was a kindergarten teacher in my previous work life, not a Children's Minister! But as time went on I began to see that God was urging me to do it.
So I agreed with the premise that it was only temporary, until The Door grew and a minister could be hired. I had no idea what I was getting myself into :-)
It has been busy, yes. It has, at times been hard, yes. It has been a joy, yes. But as God is revealing his plan to me I am beginning to understand that it is for His glory, my redemption, and for the children of the Little Door to grow in Christ.
So as you visit this blog, there may be seasons where I am diligent to record the ongoings of our wacky life and adorable children. AND there may be seasons (like now) where my plate is so full that this little blog of mine might get neglected. Ignored. or plain forgotten.
I started this blog with the intention of recording my ever changing children and life. So that I may look back and read it one day like a story! I hope to be better at journaling during this time because God is doing some pretty amazing things with our family and our church.
And just for fun, here's a sneak peak at our traveling adventures to Colorado. Post to come soon....
